Food Pantry Needs
Our monthly “food ask” for October is for hygiene items, and coming up in November we are asking for donations of cornmeal, flour and sugar. As important as these items are, we find ourselves in the midst of a difficult time due to the current economic situation. We are experiencing greater numbers of clients in need.
In light of this, we are asking for any extra assistance your church can provide. From church-sponsored food drives, to collecting an offering which ECCCM can use to purchase more food corporately, we would be so grateful for any extra help your church can give.
Our food pantry is currently in need of recycled grocery bags, gallon and quart size zipper style bags, and egg cartons. We also can always use more volunteers! Does your church have a regularly scheduled day of the month to volunteer? If not, we would love to add you to the list! We are in particular need of afternoon volunteers. Contact Allen Sherrill to schedule a time for your group to come in.

Thrift Store Needs |
|
Please share with your congregation that our thrift store, Thrifty Threads and Treasures, is in great need of volunteers. We are seeking people who would like to either sort donations or run the cash register. Send a group from your church to serve together sorting items or ask individuals to sign up to come and work our store register. Also, if your church isn't scheduled for a day on our regular monthly rotation, we encourage you sign up for a spot. See our church volunteer schedule under Find it Fast. Our days and times of greatest need are Tues., Weds., and Fri. from 8:30 until 4:30, or Thurs. mornings. Half days would be great if you can’t devote a full day. Please contact Allen Sherrill to schedule a time. |

Additionally, we are in need of medium and large shopping bags and bubble wrap. Our thrift store is a major funding source for our crisis assistance ministries, and we are so grateful for your support! |
