 Hunger Walk 2023

The Hunger Walk is a wrap! Thanks so much to all of you who took part this year. Whether your church formed a team and walked, sponsored the event, or both... please know that your church is making a difference in the level of food insecurity for Catawba County residents!

The image to the left shows all of our spectacular sponsors for this year. (Click to enlarge.) We are so very grateful to each of these supporters who make this event a great one! Please stay tuned on our social media to see who this year's winners are, as well as to see the many event photos!

Food Pantry News & Needs

For October, we continue to collect hygiene items for our clients in honor of National Hygiene Month. Coming up in November, we will be collecting kitchen staples such as flour, cornmeal and sugar. In addition to these suggestions, we can always use more recycled grocery bags, gallon and quart sized zipper style bags, and afternoon volunteers. Contact Allen Sherrill at 828-465-1702, ext. 116 or by email at a.sherrill@ecccm.org to schedule a time for your church groups or individual members to come in and serve with us. Allen is excited to hear from you!

Thrift Store News & Needs

Current and upcoming sales are posted on our Facebook page, Thrifty Threads and Treasures. All books are .25, and  Senior Day is Fridays (15% off for age 60+.) Thanks for your support!

We are seeking a few more afternoon volunteers. For anyone interested,  please have them contact Allen at a.sherrill@ecccm.org or by calling him at 828-465-1702, ext. 116.

We are running low on medium and large recycled shopping bags, gallon-size zipper style bags, and hangers for pants. These items can be dropped by during business hours. Thanks for supporting this important outreach of our ministry.
