ReStore Celebrates 20 Years
Anniversary Bash Scheduled for Tuesday, August 18
|
|
On Tuesday, August 18, Habitat for Humanity FM will host a 20th Anniversary Bash from 11AM to 1PM in celebration of the FM ReStore's continued success and in appreciation of the many customers we've served the last two decades — and you're invited!
We'll be serving free hot dogs, chips, and pickles; enjoying free dessert donated by Spread Your Sunshine; and celebrating with door prizes, games, and in-store deals. There's rumor of a few cute animals stopping by from Homeward Animal Shelter, too! Join us at the ReStore for a fun lunch — and thank you for shopping!

Dear Jane,
What a gift it is to be part of this mission with you! Together we are building homes, community, and hope, right here in the Fargo/Moorhead area. Over the last few weeks, I've been getting to know the amazing staff, board members, volunteers, and families who make our impact possible.
It has been an absolute delight to meet our future homeowners. I asked one of the kids what they were most excited about for their new house and his answer will stick with me forever:
"I'm going to have my own room, I'm not going to have to sleep on the floor, and I'm going to grow a garden with tomatoes and pumpkins!"
He then parked his Lego train in the dirt that will soon be his driveway. As I looked at that little boy's hopeful face, I knew I've landed somewhere special.

Habitat for Humanity Fargo Moorhead Area invites you to write your will in honor of National Make-A-Will Month this August! Make-A-Will Month is an opportunity to protect the individuals, organizations, and causes closest to your heart, contributing toward strong and stable communities.
We encourage you to include a gift in your plans to build a legacy that expands access to affordable homeownership opportunities for generations to come. Our partner, FreeWill, has created a secure and free online tool that can help you easily create your will and legacy in just 20 minutes. |

Want to Support Our Work? Donate to Women Build 2026 Today! |

Habitat for Humanity FM's Women Build program brings together thousands of men and women from the FM area for a months-long effort to build an affordable home in our community — and we want your help!
Though men are welcome and play a vital role in each Women Build, the program operates to directly engage local women in every aspect of our construction, particularly because many women still don't feel welcome on the construction site. Our 2026 Women Build fundraising committee is composed entirely of women, our 2026 Women Build homebuyer is a single mother of three currently living in substandard housing, and the hundreds of dedicated volunteers working on this project are all coming together to build with and for local women in our community.
