Preparations are underway for the Spring 2025 semester! Would you join us in prayer that God brings the women to our program? See the article below for other important dates. There will be daytime and evening classes that will help prepare you for today's workplace.

Pictured above are our Fall 2024 graduates. These ladies committed to finishing the semester strong and learn new skills. Along the way, they found a sisterhood, bonding over shared experiences and good food. And anytime these ladies gathered, food was always featured! One of graduates commented that "a meeting without food could have been an email!" Both the daytime and evening classes are planning get-togethers and volunteering at CWJC in the coming weeks. 

CWJC is proud to present the Kingdom Concert on Saturday, February 15 from 3:00pm - 5:00pm at First Baptist Arlington.

The Kingdom Concert will feature Kings Return, the Grammy-nominated a cappella sensation whose breathtaking harmonies have captivated millions worldwide. Known for their seamless vocal arrangements and viral performances, Kings Return will bring a powerful musical experience to the Arlington community. Additional performances include the First Baptist Worship Team and the soulful sounds of Tasha and Kristian McIntosh, the dynamic mother-son duo from Transformation Worship Church.

Their music videos have gone viral with over 10 million views! Listen to their version of "Amazing Grace."

Come enjoy an afternoon of worship, music and fellowship. General Admission tickets are $40.

My Loss : Her Gain

In a previous issue, you read about Cindy Dake's cancer journey and the My Loss : Her Gain fundraiser to support CWJC. Cindy asked God to bless others as she endured chemotherapy and surgery. Because of very generous donors, our fall semester students received a Bible and a personalized Bible cover. Pictured above is Cindy sharing her story with the evening class. The fundraiser is still accepting donations so that Bibles can be purchased for future students.

There are opportunities for you to be a positive influence on women who want to grow in their job readiness skills and personal development. Or you can serve behind the scenes and help CWJC continue to promote our program.

Volunteer openings

Prayer Partners - Pray for requests each week. Click for Volunteer Application.

Computer Lab Assistant - Serve as a "teacher's aide" for the computer instructor for either daytime or evening classes. Training and curriculum are provided. Click for Volunteer Application.

Community Ambassadors - Distribute CWJC flyers at locations in Arlington. Schedule speaking engagements for Executive Director (need to be comfortable cold calling). Click for Volunteer Application.

Journey Partners - Serve as a friend and encourager in a 1-to-1 relationship with a participant for 6 months (or longer!). Training and handbook are provided. Click for the Journey Partner Application.

20 in 2025!

In 2025, CWJC of Greater Arlington will celebrate 20 years of providing free job skills and life skills for women! We will celebrate all year long! Over 700 graduates, 39 semesters and 100's of volunteers. More to come on the exciting plans to commemorate our anniversary.
