Natural Wonders Show Call to Artists |
|
Have you captured the beauty of Placer County through your plein air adventures? Now is your chance to share it! General Gomez Arts is excited to announce the Natural Wonders 2026 Plein Air Art Show, presented in collaboration with Placer Artists Tour and Placer Land Trust. We're seeking original artwork inspired by the natural landscapes, open spaces, and outdoor experiences of Placer County. Whether you paint, draw, sculpt, photograph, or create in another medium, we invite you to submit your work for this juried exhibition. Submit up to 3 pieces for consideration. 2D and 3D media accepted. Artwork must be inspired by a plein air experience in Placer County. Special consideration given to artists who participated in Placer Land Trust plein air events Selected works will be exhibited and offered for sale, with a portion of proceeds supporting the Placer Artists Tour. Please note that participating artists will have the opportunity to sell prints and cards during the Reception. Auburn Art Walk Reception Celebrates Local Artists and Businesses in Historic Old Town Auburn Organized by the Auburn Arts Commission, the Auburn Art Walk connects local artists with Old Town businesses and invites the public to experience Auburn’s vibrant creative community. Artwork will be available for viewing only during the Auburn Art Walk Reception on Sunday, June 7, from noon to 4 pm at participating businesses throughout Historic Old Town Auburn. Golf Cart transportation from parking lots donated by 49er Lions. Music by Hugh and Sheri Hoeger, Left of Cool Children’s art activities by Placer Artists Tour in Herschel Young Park. A forum for first time tour artists to ask questions on topics such as venue preparation, pricing, signage, etc. June 11, 6 pm, All Artist ZOOM Orientation for artists who cannot attend the LIVE meeting. June 20, 1 pm All Artists LIVE Orientation. This is a great time to meet the other artists in your region. June 15, Advertising sponsorship deadline.
