New Artist Showcase

if this is your first year on the Tour, we would love to have you participate in the New Artist Showcase on September 25th. Held at our host hotel, Hotel Vista Sierra in Auburn, this event is a fantastic way to meet your future customers and veteran tour artists. Save the event date--the evening of September 25--and details are coming soon!

 

Symphony and Art in the Park

September 13 is the date for Symphony & Art in the Park. This outdoor event is a collaboration between the Auburn Symphony and the Placer Artists Tour. Our 2-D artists are invited to set up a piece of their artwork in the afternoon on propanels (supplied) and offer the piece for sale before and during the performance. Sales transactions are between the artist and buyer.

 

It takes place at the School Park Preserve in Auburn. Space is limited and applications are now open. Learn more about the performance.

Potluck for Tour Artists, Galleries and School

Tuesday September 16, 5:30 to 7:30 pm

Mark your calendar now to attend this important meeting. You will pick up your tour signage and other materials including a supply of guides and postcards, get tour advice and meet other tour artists. It's a great time to get those last-minute questions answered.

If you cannot attend, please make arrangements to have your materials packet picked up by a friend.

Location: Rocklin Event Center Garden Room, 2650 Sunset Blvd, Rocklin

 

Taste of the Tour Reception and Show

Have you chosen your piece yet?

Plan now to submit one piece of artwork to the Blue Line Art Gallery's Taste of the Tour exhibit. The popular and elegant reception will be held on October 18 from 5 - 7 pm. Art lovers typically use the show to determine which studios they want to visit on the tour. More details to come.

 

Musicians Wanted

There are still a few Musician Grants for the Tour. Feel free to reach out to your musician friends and encourage them to sign up! Each musician or group will be paid $100 for one two-hour session, courtesy of a donation. You may share the link below for the simple online sign up form.

Tour-Related Events Success!

Thank you to all the artists and volunteers who helped make these two pre-Tour events possible.

Outside the Box: Reimagined first Annual Auction and Gala

In addition to the wonderful boxes created and acquired by collectors, the Tour raised more than $30,000 in this first annual fundraiser.

Natural Wonders Plein Air Exhibit through August 3

This show is presented in collaboration with the Placer Land Trust and General Gomez Arts. Both 2-D and 3-D artwork are included in this show of locally inspired views.

 
 

Endowment Fund

Placer Community Foundation established the Placer Artists Tour Endowment Fund to build funds for the future of the Tour and continue support of arts and culture in our region.
