Getting Started on Marketing
|
It seems a little early, but NOW is the time to think about getting the word out about your Tour participation. Follow-up surveys consistently tell us that the most effective invitation to the tour comes from our artists, galleries and schools. The more personal, the better!
TIPS for a successful tour

This is your number on the map and before your listing in the Placer Artists Tour Directory and Tour Guide. Using it in your promotion material can help people find you easily.

Regional Leaders are an excellent source of information for Tour Artists, Galleries and Schools. They offer experience and advice, and are always willing to help.
Here is the 2025 lineup for Regional Leaders
|
The Marketing Team has begun posting Artists, Galleries, Schools and Sponsors on our public FB page, "Placer Artists Tour." Here is the link: https://www.facebook.com/PlacerArtistsTour
We recommend that you "follow" this page so that you can be "tagged" in your promotional posts. Also, please comment (four words or more) on your post and then "share" the post to your page to let your family, friends and art fans know that you are participating in the Tour! You can share the post again closer to the Tour for additional promotion. Please comment (four words or more!), like and share as many posts from this page as you possibly can! This raises visibility of our page to help promote the entire Tour!
Please click here to see the posting schedule.
Also on Facebook, I have created events for all of the different events that we have. Please go into each of the events which are already live and indicate that you are going to the event. Even if you’re not going! This makes the event visible to more people on Facebook. Facebook limits how many people can be invited to an event and so I also suggest that you create your own event both for the tour and for the taste of the tour reception. Then use the event on your personal page to invite people from your friends list that you think would be interested in attending the Tour.
Thanks,
Trisa
