MCPF WELCOMES 2024 PRESIDENT, CHIEF ROGER NEW
|
Each year, the Minnesota Chiefs of Police Association appoints a new president, who concurrently serves a one-year term as president of the Foundation. We are thrilled to welcome Roger New as our new MCPF President.
“Over the past couple years the Minnesota Chiefs of Police Foundation has been actively working to forge new relationships with community partners, which help create opportunities for law enforcement agencies throughout the state of Minnesota. Our foundation has also worked tirelessly to garner support for the profession, and as President, I look forward to working alongside these community members and former law enforcement leaders to help further this mission for our association members. While serving as president, I’ll strive to further the mission of the foundation by building support from community partners and identifying prospective board members who are interested in the growth of law enforcement throughout Minnesota.”

MCPF FUNDS WEST ST. PAUL PD BADGES & BOBBERS EVENT
|
On July 20, 2023, the West St. Paul Police Department held their Badges and Bobbers event, generously funded by the Minnesota Chiefs of Police Foundation. Law enforcement officers came together with at-risk youth for a day of fishing, learning, and relationship-building. Activities, including fishing lessons, shared meals, and friendly competitions, helped create lasting connections and trust between local kids and officers of the West St. Paul Police Department. With a turnout of over 20 enthusiastic attendees, including both officers and youth, and supported by a MCPF grant of $2,500, Badges and Bobbers exemplified the positive impact of community engagement and collaboration.

ETI SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENT HIGHLIGHT - CHIEF MCMILLIN
|
"The ETI experience was extremely valuable for me as it not only provided me with the necessary knowledge and skills for my field, but also gave me the opportunity to network with fellow chiefs. The scholarship that I received was a tremendous help as it allowed me to allocate funds to additional trainings that are mandatory for both myself and my fellow officers."
- Chief Katie McMillin, Foley PD
