COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP GRANTS
|
The Minnesota Chiefs of Police Foundation (MCPF) is proud to support police departments across Minnesota in advancing community partnerships and strengthening public trust through the Community Partnerships Grant Program.
The goal of the program is to support, supplement, initiate, or accelerate a department’s efforts to engage with the community in meaningful ways. All events, projects, programs, or initiatives submitted for consideration must aim to build relationships, trust, transparency, cooperation, or partnerships with the communities served.
In 2024, MCPF awarded $81,400 in Community Partnerships Grants to 48 departments across the state. Thanks to generous donors, the Foundation will continue to offer additional grant opportunities in the future.
Applications are now being accepted for the 2025 grant cycle!
The deadline to apply is Friday, September 12, 2025. The MCPF Board of Directors will review submissions and announce funding decisions by the end of October. Grant checks will be mailed in early November. A total of $100,000 in funding is available for this cycle.
If you have any questions, please email Executive Director Jeff Potts or Associate Director Aimee Schroeder.

MCPF FUNDS RICHFIELD PD PIZZA WITH POLICE EVENT
|
On June 5, 2025, the Richfield Police Department held their Pizza with Police event, generously funded by the Minnesota Chiefs of Police Foundation. Law enforcement officers came together with the community for a night of Pizza with Police as an open house that provided officers and attendees an opportunity to share a slice of pizza, discuss issues, ask questions, and learn more about each other. Residents were invited to tour the PD and check out a police squad. One of our K-9 teams was on hand for demonstrations. To kick off the summer with safety in mind, there was a resource table with crime prevention materials and safety literature. The event brought together numerous generations of Richfield residents who shared stories of the community and the positive relationship the department has and the impact made in the community with the diverse populations. Enthusiastic attendees, including both officers and community members, and supported by a MCPF grant of $2,500, Pizza with Police exemplified the positive impact of community engagement and collaboration.

ETI SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENT HIGHLIGHT CHIEF PILAR STIER
|
"As a small department with limited financial resources, receiving the ETI scholarship provided us with an invaluable opportunity to grow without the added financial burden. The training was outstanding, and equally important, the networking opportunities proved to be incredibly beneficial. We are truly grateful. Thank you."
