Dear friend,

We are deeply grateful for the generosity, dedication, and support of our volunteers, donors, and partners. Your gifts of time, talent, and resources make it possible for us to serve our community and fight food insecurity every day. Thanks to your support, we were able to bring joy and relief to so many of our neighbors this holiday season. You helped brighten lives—thank you!

Highlights from the past few months:

  • We provided 146 food baskets and served 538 meals on Thanksgiving Day. Our Thanksgiving efforts were featured on 13WHAM and News10, bringing awareness to food insecurity and the importance of community support.

  • Our Christmas Toy Store allowed grandparents, parents, and guardians to shop for 168 children. On Christmas Day, we distributed nearly 1,500 meals to the community. Our Christmas work was highlighted on Fox Rochester and 13WHAM, showcasing the joy and relief we were able to provide to families during the holiday season.

  • Five senior nursing students from St. John Fisher University are completing their clinical experience at St. Peter’s Kitchen every Thursday. They are conducting blood pressure checks and assisting guests without a primary care provider. We are partnered with His Branches, a community health practice, to ensure they receive the medical care they need.

We are excited to welcome Victor Gomes (pictured) as our new part-time Volunteer Coordinator. He takes over from Amy Mincer, who will now focus on the pantry and social work. Victor will help strengthen our volunteer program to better serve the community. 

Now more than ever, your support is essential as our continue to grow. We've crunched the numbers, and in 2024, 

  • We served 150,200 meals,

  • We used 435,328 pounds of food—an almost 20% increase from last year, and

  • Our pantry supported 4,185 households feeding 8,124 people—five times more than the same period last year.
