APRIL 2026

The season of resurrection reminds us that new life often begins with a changed perspective. Throughout the ministry of Jesus, we see Him consistently looking beyond what others saw, meeting people in their brokenness, extending compassion, and restoring dignity where it had been lost.

As followers of Christ, we are called to do the same.

When it comes to homelessness, it is easy to form conclusions from a distance. Questions about choices, responsibility, and circumstance naturally come to mind. But when we draw closer, when we listen and learn the stories of their lives, our perspective begins to shift.

Through relationships with our neighbors experiencing homelessness, we have heard stories of deep loss, of family, of stability, of direction. We have encountered struggles with addiction, mental health, broken families, and the weight of past decisions. We have also met individuals who are working, doing everything they can, yet still unable to secure stable, affordable housing.

These are not one dimensional stories. They are human stories.

Jesus never reduced people to the worst chapter of their lives. He met them with truth and compassion and called them forward into something new. That same posture shapes our work today.

At Community of Hope, we believe compassion is not passive. It moves toward people, builds relationships, and creates pathways for restoration.

While our city is served by organizations doing vital, immediate response work, there remains a significant gap in long term, community based housing. These are places where individuals can find not only shelter, but stability, support, and the opportunity to rebuild their lives over time.

We believe we are called to help fill that gap.

Our vision is to create a community where our neighbors are known, supported, and given the opportunity to grow into the life God has for them. A place that reflects both the compassion and the restoration we see in Christ.

This season of resurrection is an invitation, not just to reflect, but to respond.

We are actively working to secure the land needed to build this community. This is the next step in turning vision into reality. We are excited to share we have some refreshing strategy in securing property!
