SLED received some really fun updates this month from teachers who used Mini-Grants and Field Trip funds to enrich their students' classrooms and experiences.
A trip to the Exploratorium for high school newcomer students not only inspired STEM learning but also introduced these new to the area students to the wonders of San Francisco. Ms. Babb's Kindness project at Monroe Elementary prompted the students and everyone at their school to share thoughts about how helping, playing, and learning together promotes kindness and happiness for all. A trip to the Tech Museum in San Jose had Roosevelt students diving into hands-on learning activities. A new set of books for Mr. Smith's high school English classes got students reading with enthusiasm and engagement.
Each of these projects and trips makes a difference to our students - and it's thanks to our supporters like YOU.
