School Year End = New Beginnings

As often happens, the school year is ending in a flurry of activity - tests, special events, concerts, sports, prom, promotions, and graduation.

To date, the outstanding educators of SLUSD have applied for over 150 mini-grants and field trips, so we know that SLED has been a part of the school experience for students over the past year, and we are proud of that. As a SLED supporter, YOU should also be proud of the work you've helped to fund, too.

We now look forward to expanding opportunities for students in the next school year, and celebrating their accomplishments as the school year winds down. It's time for new beginnings and bright futures!

It's clear by the GIANT smiles on faces that Ms. Robinson's class from Madison Elementary had a GREAT time on their field trip to the Exploratorium.

Trips like that not only engage students in hands-on science exploration, it exposes them to new places, allows for curiosity and questions, and reinforces what they're learning in the classroom.

SLED was happy to be a part of the annual SLHS Business Academy Sophomore Business Plan Competition. It was fantastic to see the ideas and passion the students bring to their work, and the level of learning and achievement their first year in the Business Academy affords them.

Congratulations to the top three finishers and to all of the students for their efforts.

San Leandro High School is turning 100, and alumni of ALL generations and years are invited!

This will be the alumni celebration worth attending, bringing together multiple generations and tons of Pirate memories.
