There's never a dull moment when you are planning programs, raising funds, and supporting the community all in the service of creating education experiences that inspire youth.

We are always proud to show the details of our work in our Annual Report. Though we are not a large organization, we maximize every dollar raised to ensure that virtually every student in SLUSD benefits from SLED funds every year - through field trips, classroom grants, science activities, and much more. And we of course love to highlight the sponsors and donors who help make it all happen.

Victor's Victory at the Fall Cornhole Tournament

San Leandro High's own Victor Doan and teammate Shawn Lopez flung their way to victory at SLED's Fall Cornhole Tournament.

Despite the soaring temperatures,  a great time was had by all with some friendly competition, great food, free kids' activities from Juniper Corner, and amazing people. We look forward to growing this event to make it a true community and family-friendly FUN way to support education.

Bringing out the College Consulting Pros at the San Leandro Library

SLED is committed to plotting a course to college for more of our local students, and are always looking for ways to offer more help as we craft a comprehensive college support pathway. 

This fall, we are teaming up with the San Leandro Library for a College Application Workshop led by the expert consultants at Bound 4 College. Participants will get a clear picture of what the best practices and next steps are in the college process. This is FREE to students. Register at sanleandro.libcal.com

• SLED has scheduled Lawrence Hall of Sciences festivals and assemblies for all 8 elementary school campuses - each site gets two events!
• Over 45 Mini-Grant and Field Trip applicatiosn have been received - there is ALWAYS a need for inspiration, supplies, and experiences for San Leandro students
• We got to attend the annual Eden Area ROP Business Partner of the Year Awards and the Friends of Chabot Gala. It is so important to show up and support organizations that do great work for youth!
