Summer has officially arrived—and while the school year has come to a close, the energy at SFNC is anything but slowing down.
That's because it’s now time to turn our attention to what comes next.
On Saturday, August 2nd, ResFest returns for its 20th year—and so does our Free Backpack & School Supply Giveaway! Last year, we distributed 130 fully stocked backpacks to local students. This year, with your help, we’re setting our sights even higher.

Here are 3 easy ways you can help Baltimore City students start the school year ready to succeed:

🎒 Sponsor a Student Backpack
Want to make a real, personal impact? Fill out our interest form and we’ll match you with an elementary, middle, or high school supply list. Simply fill a backpack with the listed items and drop it off at the Center—we’ll handle the rest!

✏️ Donate School Supplies
Every item counts! Shop our Amazon Wish List to ship directly to us or arrange a drop-off of supplies in-person at SFNC. We’ll use these to build even more backpacks to give away.

🌟 Become a Sustainer
Backpacks are just the beginning. A monthly donation of any amount helps us go beyond the basics—providing tutoring, after-school snacks, enrichment activities, and restocked supplies all year long.
