What kind of community do you want to help cultivate?

Cultivating community.

Sustaining opportunity. 🧡

For more than 60 years, St. Francis Neighborhood Center has remained deeply rooted in West Baltimore’s Reservoir Hill community. Through times of challenge and times of growth, our commitment has stayed the same: to be a place where neighbors gather, students learn, families find support, and community thrives.

Continued investment is what ensures our programs remain strong and accessible for generations to come.

It costs $4,964.28 per year to provide one child with our comprehensive programming, which includes 8 months of afterschool enrichment and our 6-week summer program.

That investment looks like:

  • $1,241.07 per quarter

  • $413.69 per month

  • $103.42 per week

  • $25.85 per day

Despite rising costs everywhere, we’ve worked hard to keep our per-student cost nearly the same as it was five years ago. Meanwhile, the quality and reach of our programming continue to grow.

In just the last year, we have:

Expanded enrollment by 44%,

serving more students and families

Added a new class group

to help ease the elementary-to-middle school transition

Invested in key resources

to support students in need of extra academic support

In a time when many of us feel a little powerless to address the challenges around us, a modest monthly gift can make a meaningful difference right here in our neighborhood.

When you make a pledge to our Campaign to Sustain, you’re helping cultivate a community where:

  • students are supported holistically
  • families have access to nutritious food
  • older adults build connections and discover new passions
  • young people grow into mentors for the next generation

A monthly donation — no matter the size — helps sustain the programs, relationships, and opportunities that make this community stronger every day.

Make your pledge 🧡
