Call to Action!

Dear Jane,

Calling ALL Texas Health Professionals and Students!

OSHA has extended the deadline to comment on their proposed new rule, "Heat Injury and Illness Prevention in Outdoor and Indoor Work Settings," has been extended to January 14, 2025! With this change, we need all signatures by January 13, 2024 to make sure our voices are heard. Especially before the new administration takes office.

We already have 32 Texas health professionals and students signed on. Will you join them?

By signing on, you can help:

  • Advocate for better monitoring and control measures for heat-related illness.
  • Support small employers in implementing measures to protect their employees.
  • Champion workplace safety initiatives that reduce heat-related risks for vulnerable workers in agriculture, construction, manufacturing, and other high-risk industries.

Your expertise and advocacy are vital to promoting safer working conditions and protecting health across Texas, especially as climate challenges intensify. Let’s stand together to ensure all workers are safeguarded against extreme heat.
