Big Changes Coming... and Happening!!!

Exciting developments are underway at Healing Hoof Steps! We're thrilled to announce the completion of our four new mental health counseling offices and fencing for private horse pastures and herds. These enhancements are designed to significantly reduce wait times for our alternative mental health services, ensuring quicker access and support for our community. Looking ahead, our eagerly anticipated riding arena cover is slated to be operational by this September! This addition will enable our Therapeutic Riding lessons to continue seamlessly, regardless of extreme heat or inclement weather conditions. None of these milestones would have been achievable without Governor Ron DeSantis, Representative Patt Maney, and the Okaloosa Board of County Commissioners. A special thank you also goes to Southern Pipe and Supply for their donation and delivery of materials to bring water lines to our new mental health pastures. We are deeply grateful to all who have made these expansions possible, including our dedicated staff and volunteers whose hard work drives our mission forward.

Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers are essential to our Therapeutic Riding Program. Their time and dedication make our work possible. From assisting in lessons to caring for our horses- volunteers play a crucial role. We are deeply grateful for their contributions, and strive to offer a positive, supportive environment in return. Volunteers gain valuable experience working with children who may be diagnosed with autism, ADHD, or anxiety, while also gaining hands-on experience with horses.
