Dear NWFCU Foundation Friends and Family,
The holiday season is a time to cherish the spirit of giving—a spirit that our NWFCU Foundation family embodies every day of the year.
In 2024, we’ve accomplished so much because of your generosity and partnership:
• SCHOLARSHIPS: The Foundation awarded $139,000 in scholarships to 29 deserving students, bringing our total since 2005 to over $2.15 million, helping more than 400 students.
• FOOD INSECURITY: We provided 35,000 food items to students who participate in their school’s weekend backpack program, ensuring children have nutritious meals to carry them through the weekend.
• HEALTH AND HYGIENE: The Foundation donated 13,000 hygiene items to under-resourced students, allowing them to attend school with confidence.
• SHOES FOR KIDS: We distributed 1,200 pairs of athletic shoes to help students step into success for the beginning of the school year.
• MENTORSHIP PROGRAMS: With the start of the school year, our dedicated mentors from Northwest are actively engaged, 1:1, in local schools, helping guide and support students.
• HARVEST OUTREACH: At Thanksgiving we delivered 860 home cooked meals to families in partnership with Thompson Hospitality Group.
• WINTER ESSENTIALS: We gifted over 1,000 coats and winter accessories to children in need.
None of this would have been possible without your generosity, volunteerism, passion, and support. As you celebrate this special season with your loved ones, I encourage you to take a moment to reflect on the difference you’ve made. On behalf of all of us at the NWFCU Foundation, we wish you a joyful holiday season filled with love, peace, and hope.
Please join us in continuing this life-changing work. Your support is crucial to expanding our reach and providing even more opportunities for students in our community. Together, we can make 2025, our 20th anniversary year, our most impactful year yet.
With Gratitude and Holiday Cheer,
Taralyn
