Summer 2025 Newsletter

Dear Foundation Friends,

As summer is in full swing, it's hard to believe how quickly the season is flying by. While students are making the most of their break, we are looking ahead to the upcoming school year—and with it, renewed opportunities to create meaningful change in our schools and in the lives of the students we serve.

So far in 2025, we’ve distributed nearly 45,000 food items, 16,000 hygiene items and supported more than 30 schools and organizations in 5 counties.

In this edition, we are thrilled to share some exciting updates and upcoming events that will keep us engaged and inspired throughout the summer:

  • Golf Tournament on the Horizon: Our Drive for the Driven Golf Tournament is just around the corner!
  • Our Annual Report:  Take a moment to read our 2024 Annual Report.
  • Step Into Success Drive: Our annual shoe drive is underway! We are excited to provide brand-new shoes to students in need as they get ready to start the school year strong.
  • A Historic Scholarship Breakfast: We celebrated a record number of scholarships awarded this year.

The work we do is not possible without the support from our donors, members, and sponsors.  Thank you for being the heartbeat of our mission—your generosity continues to uplift communities, empower students, and inspire hope.

Warmly,

Taralyn

Let's step up for 2,000 students!

Now through August 31, we're launching our annual Step Into Success drive—with a big goal: provide brand-new socks and shoes to 2,000+ students before the school year begins.

Here’s how you can help:

  • Donate brand-new youth socks

  • Give online to help us purchase new shoes

Every pair makes a difference. For many students, this will set the tone for confidence, dignity, and a strong start to the school year.

2025 Aspire Higher Scholars

This year, 30 remarkable students were awarded scholarships through our Aspire Higher scholarship program—chosen from a competitive pool of more than 400 applicants.

Each student stood out for their leadership, determination, and charitable contributions to their communities.

We had the honor of recognizing these scholars at our annual breakfast celebration at the International Country Club on June 11th where their stories reminded us why the work we do matters.
