The Mount Vernon Trail is having its best year ever thanks to your support! The Friends of the Mount Vernon Trail’s all volunteer team has organized 58 events this year with 1,375 volunteers devoting 3,304 hours to improving the trail, a 61% increase in volunteer hours over 2022.
Volunteers have fixed 764 trail issues including removing 288 trail bumps this year. Volunteers have trimmed low branches, filled potholes, removed graffiti, pressure washed slippery bridges, removed storm damage, applied fresh paint, removed invasive vegetation and removed trail bumps.
