Below, you'll find a report on the impact made possible for the students and staff of Moorhead Schools. We are grateful for your support!

Spud Impact Grants are awarded each Fall. These grants equip teachers and staff with funding for innovative projects and needs. We are incredibly grateful for the Moorhead teachers and staff who invest in our students each and every day. This year's Spud Impact Grants totaled over $10,750 in grant funding toward various projects and activities both in the classroom and beyond!

MLEF gave $15,000 to the district for Food For Thought, helping to fund milk and snack for students. This support was made possible by our Giving Hearts Day donations.

Spud Scholarships are awarded each Spring. Moorhead's students were honored at the MHS Award Ceremony on April 30th. Thank you to MAPS staff and counselors that help coordinate the award process and special evening, and thank you to our special guests that helped hand out their named scholarships. MLEF awarded $123,000 in scholarships to 116 deserving students this spring. This is possible thanks to our scholarship donors, endowments and our annual Phonathon. Congratulations to Moorhead's 2025 Spud Scholars!

The Spud Jersey and Uniform Wall at the new Moorhead High School is complete. MLEF thanks the family of Steve Connelly for making this project possible with his memorial funds to the Legacy Foundation.

Steve Connelly was MHS head football coach from 1995 to 2003. Steve, and classmate and friend, Mark Kreps, died in a tragic car accident in 2020. Steve is remembered for instilling values of integrity and service to others.
