Lunar New Year Celebration at the Library

Dear Friends,

I’m honored to step into the role of Executive Director of the Cedar Park Public Library Foundation and continue the work of amplifying our Library’s impact on our growing community.

With the Library now thriving in its beautiful new home, we have an incredible opportunity to expand programs, enhance collections, and ensure access to resources for all. But none of this happens without you—our generous supporters who believe in the power of literacy, learning, and connection.

This month, I’m especially excited to introduce The Chapter Society, our new monthly giving program designed to provide sustained support for the Library’s most vital initiatives. Your commitment, no matter the size, helps shape the future of our Library and the opportunities it creates for Cedar Park.

I look forward to this journey with you and can’t wait to see what we accomplish together.

đź’™ Thank you for being part of this story.

Warmly,

Kristen Huguley
Executive Director, Cedar Park Public Library Foundation

Program Spotlight: Books for Babies -
A First Book, A Lifetime of Learning

Did you know that 90% of a child’s brain develops before age five? The first books a baby is introduced to can shape their literacy skills for life.

That’s why Books for Babies, a cherished program of the Cedar Park Public Library Foundation, has been providing newborns at Cedar Park Regional Medical Center with their very first book, an invitation to get a library card, and early literacy resources—completely funded by community support—since 2016.

Early literacy shapes a child’s future. Research shows that children introduced to books from birth develop stronger language skills and enter school better prepared to learn.

With over 1,500 babies born each year at Cedar Park Regional Medical Center, this program helps bridge academic gaps and ensures that every child—regardless of background—has the tools to succeed.

🚀 Help us make an even bigger impact! We’re looking for six local businesses to step up as 2025 Title Sponsors and put books in the hands of 1,500+ local families.

Amplifying Our Library. Empowering Central Texans.

Libraries do more than provide books—they create opportunities, spark creativity, and connect communities. But these life-changing resources don’t happen on their own.

That’s where the Cedar Park Public Library Foundation comes in. As the Library’s nonprofit fundraising partner, we ensure essential programs, technology, and collections are funded—not just for today, but for generations to come.

This year, we’re working alongside the Library to meet its greatest needs—ensuring the new Library serves more people than ever before.

Our Focus:

✔ Program Support – Expanding literacy and lifelong learning opportunities.
✔ Expanded Collections – Growing book selections and expanding the Library of Things.
✔ Community Outreach – Bringing Library resources to those who need them most.

Together, with your support, we can build a stronger, more connected Cedar Park.
