Just one month after its grand opening on November 1, 2024, the new Cedar Park Public Library has already blossomed into a cornerstone of learning, inspiration, and togetherness. The community’s response has been nothing short of extraordinary, far exceeding even our boldest expectations.

November by the Numbers:

• 75,443 visitors in just one month — the same number we’d typically see during an entire peak summer reading season from June to mid-August!
• 2,800 daily visitors on average (excluding holidays) — more than double the traffic of a peak day in the previous location.
• 350% growth in activity compared to our former space—a testament to the community’s overwhelming need for this vibrant hub of learning and connection.

This incredible milestone is just the beginning. These numbers tell a story of more than just increased foot traffic—they reflect a library that transforms lives, sparking curiosity, building community, and inspiring hope.

As we celebrate the extraordinary achievements of Cedar Park’s new library, we’re extending the spirit of Giving Tuesday through the end of the year. This milestone belongs to all of us. Together, we’ve built a vibrant hub for learning, creativity, and connection.

Averaging almost 3,000 visitors a day, the library has quickly become a place where people find inspiration, resources, and a sense of belonging. This remarkable growth reflects how deeply our community values this space—but it also highlights the need for continued support to meet the demands of a thriving, diverse city like Cedar Park.

• Grow the Library of Things with unique resources like STEM kits, book club kits, a tortilla press, and even metal detectors to serve Cedar Park’s diverse needs.
• Expand the World Languages Collection by adding books in Spanish, Mandarin Chinese, Hindi, and Telugu, ensuring everyone can see themselves in the pages of a book.
• Foster Inclusion and Lifelong Learning through resources that promote cultural literacy and provide opportunities for all ages.

This holiday season, the City of Cedar Park hosted its cherished Tree Lighting Celebration beneath the grand 400-year-old oak tree—a living symbol of unity, history, and community spirit.
