This Thanksgiving, we’re reflecting on the incredible journey that brought our new Cedar Park Public Library to life. It truly took a village to transform this vision into the crown jewel it is today.

We’re deeply grateful for the Cedar Park City Council and staff, whose vision and planning guided every step, and to the citizens who voted for the bond that made this dream possible. Thank you to the countless volunteers, local businesses, and dedicated residents who generously gave their time, talent, and treasure to support this project.

From the city and library staff to every member of the Cedar Park community, your unwavering support turned this library into a symbol of what we can achieve together. Over 17,000 visitors joined us during opening weekend—a testament to the pride we all share in this incredible space.

Giving Tuesday, held annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, is a global movement dedicated to generosity and community support. Since 2012, it has inspired individuals, organizations, and businesses to give back through donations, volunteering, and acts of kindness. As a counterbalance to the consumerism of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Giving Tuesday reminds us to focus on helping others and supporting meaningful causes. 

This Giving Tuesday, we invite you to consider the Library Foundation as one of your giving options. The library is more than a resource for books—it’s a vital hub for education, connection, and opportunity in our community.

Keep an eye out on December 3rd for an email from the Foundation featuring a special offer for donors. Donations of $100 or more will be highlighted on the book carts in the New Library! We encourage you to honor the spirit of the day and make an impact!
