A Busy Summer with Friends
The Paris Olympics made for an extra-exciting summer! Simone Biles, phenomenal gymnast and youth advocate for Friends of the Children, added four more Olympic medals to her greatest-of-all-time total, and we were inspired watching athletes from around the world give their best.
We knew we couldn't let Paris have all the fun, so we held our own 'Core Asset Olympics'! Youth 'competed' in fun games that showcased all of the amazing progress they are making in cultivating our nine core assets. From 'problem solving' to 'perseverance and grit', we are so proud of the way they showed off their skills and encouraged each other!

Our Donors Make Our Impact Possible
Since our founding in 2020, the Clark and Christine Ivory Foundation have provided unwavering support to Friends-Utah. Their generous investment in our youth and families has made a profound difference and we extend our heartfelt thanks for their ongoing support.
We’re thrilled to announce that Friends - Utah has been awarded a generous grant from the Larry H. and Gail Miller Family Foundation. This funding will directly support our efforts to strengthen family stability, prevent foster care involvement, and provide essential resources to families in need.
Yardi Systems continued to support Friends - Utah with a generous donation this summer!
To help our youth get ready for the school year, FinWise Bank generously donated backpacks and supplies to all the children in our program!

A Visit from Idaho Friends
Over the summer, we welcomed the team from Friends of the Children - Eastern Idaho to our clubhouse! Their program is in its first year, but they are already making a real impact in their community and eager to learn.
We shared our experiences from the past 4 years, brainstormed ideas together, and encouraged them as they grow to continue reaching out to our National Network. We loved their visit with us!

The Human Impact of Friends of the Children - Utah
We walk alongside truly incredible youth and families here in the Salt Lake Valley. We could tell you so much about them, but we'd rather you watch them tell their own stories.

An Easy to New Way to Support Friends - Utah: Our Wishlist
Support our youth by stocking the clubhouse with the items they ask for the most! From art supplies and after-school snacks to boxes and boxes of tissues and hand sanitizer to deal with school-year germs, our shelves constantly need to be re-filled! Please consider purchasing an item or two from our wishlist to help us continue fostering a positive environment where everyone can learn and grow. Every bit of support brings us closer to making our clubhouse the best it can be!
We are hiring both an Executive Assistant and a Professional Mentor, called a Friend. If you, or someone you know, are looking for an impactful next step in your career, we encourage you to learn more about both roles!
The Executive Assistant will work directly with our Executive Director and will have responsibility for several administrative duties. The ideal candidate is highly self-motivated, professional, and capable of managing their workload and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced non-profit environment.
The Professional Mentor, called a Friend, will support eight of our male youth in discovering their limitless potential. Friends build relationships with the youth they mentor and within the communities of our youth and families to strengthen social networks and create bridges to new opportunities.
