ED Talks - Thoughts from the Executive Director

ED Talks - Thoughts from the Executive Director

A Time to Give Thanks.

With the Thanksgiving holiday headed our way very soon I find my thoughts turning inward, reflecting on the things I am truly thankful for. Not only in my personal life, but from the perspective of my ACTF role as well.

In the months since my arrival, it has become clear that ACTF has its own dedicated, hard working and maybe even quirky family members, just like so many other families.

So in the spirit of the holiday, I would like to express my thankfulness to all of you.

To my immediate ACTF family, the staff, board of directors, and other volunteers: It is a pleasure to work with each of you on this important project. Thank you for welcoming me into your clan and for your tireless efforts and dedication to get this project done.

Next to our extended family: I am thankful for our donors, sponsors and others who have kept us financially stable through the years. Thank you for helping us pay the staff and rent, keep the lights on, and cover the costs of the important work we have undertaken-work that will continue throughout the new Center's lifetime. you truly see the benefit of your investment.

To our partner organizations: I can only imagine the joy and pride we will feel when we all sit back and experience the great works of art you will be able to produce in the new center. Thanks for your willingness to link your extended family to ours and make this journey with us.

To the community organizations that have allowed us to share our vision with your members: thank you for seeing the importance of this project and allowing us to share our plans and dreams.

Finally, thank you to the community members at large whom I have had the chance to meet when we are out and about. There is a general excitement hearing updates on the project from first-timers or those who have long followed us. Letting us tell our story is heartwarming, and we appreciate you listening and engaging.

A busy time is coming for us with our upcoming Holiday Breakfast and the slated ballot measure in February and I am sure there will be plenty more to be thankful for in the months to come.
